Classical Pilates in Practice – Contrology Line Equipment at the 5th Classical Pilates Conference
From October 2–4, 2026, the EVA Park Life & Spa hotel in Konstancin-Jeziorna became the European capital of classical Pilates. The fifth edition of the Classical Pilates Conference, organized by Maja Behmen, brought together an international group of teachers, studio owners, and enthusiasts of the method from across Europe. The event was completely sold out, which confirms the great maturity and passion of the local Pilates community.
Education at the highest level: three days of intensive workshops
Over three days, conference participants had the opportunity to learn from recognized world authorities:
- Gloria Gasperi (Emotion Pilates, Italy) led reformer classes, analyzed technique in detail in the iconic Short Spine & Long Spine block, and presented movement patterns during the Squats workshop.
- Veronica Ruiz (Pilates Ambassador Studio, Spain) presented an architectural approach to movement in the Reformer: Architecture of Movement module, building strength and control on the Wunda Chair, and three-dimensional work on the Ladder Barrel.
- Eric Carlovich (Spain) explored the full potential of the Cadillac during the Cadillac Inside & Out & Up workshop and guided participants through advanced progressions on the reformer.
- Maja Behmen (Warsaw) led her own signature class devoted to subtle yet deep work using the Neck Stretcher apparatus.

The program was rounded out by private sessions and small group classes led by, among others, Murat Berkin, Keren Patzia, Clerio Muratori, and Patryk Nowak. The second day culminated in a shared dinner at the EVA Park hotel restaurant, an excellent opportunity to socialize and exchange experiences behind the scenes.

Business, partnership, and the Balanced Body zone
For the Balanced Body Polska team, the conference in Konstancin-Jeziorna had a special significance. For years we have proudly supported Maja Behmen’s initiative, celebrating a partnership built on a shared passion for education and for promoting the highest standards in classical Pilates.
Alongside the rich workshop program, the event was buzzing with life in the exhibition area. At the dedicated Balanced Body stand, participants could try out and purchase small equipment and training accessories.

The conference also became an important place for business meetings with studio owners and investors from Poland and abroad. During one-on-one consultations, we discussed, among other things:
- optimal planning of the training space and the selection of equipment for new and existing locations,
- issues related to return on investment (ROI) and equipment durability under intensive commercial use,
- the importance of technical reliability as a guarantor of safety and of the studio’s operational continuity.

In discussions between workshops, trainers and studio owners also emphasized that choosing classical machines is a strategic decision. Mechanical reliability, repeatable spring resistance, and durability under intensive use translate directly into working safety and a studio free of breakdowns.
The classical Contrology line in practice and the post-conference offer
The substantive heart of all group classes and workshops was the original equipment from the classical Contrology line by Balanced Body, created on the basis of Joseph Pilates’ authentic designs and dimensions. During workshops and private sessions, participants tested the full set of machines and accessories in practice:
- Contrology Reformers (JGRIMES 80″ version and extended 86″ version),
- Contrology Cadillac,
- Contrology Wunda Chair,
- Contrology Ladder Barrel,
- Contrology Spine Corrector,
- C-Shaper,
- Contrology Ped-o-Pul,
- Contrology Folding Mat.

All of the post-conference equipment could be purchased with a 20% discount, so some participants took full-value machines and accessories to their studios straight after the event.
5th Classical Pilates Conference – the essence of classical Pilates
The 5th Classical Pilates Conference in Poland is an example of how a passion for the traditional Pilates method combines with a professional approach to business and engineering. Equipment from the Contrology line by Balanced Body once again showed that perfect craftsmanship and faithful recreation of Joseph Pilates’ historical principles can go hand in hand with modern production standards and a durability guarantee that lasts for years.
