Eu4ya at Full Throttle: Time for a Conference Summary

The emotions have somewhat settled, so it’s time to summarize this year’s Eu4ya by tiguar conference. The event took place on May 11-12, 2024, at the Expo Hall in Łódź, attracting crowds of fitness industry enthusiasts. If we had to summarize our participation in one word, it would be: “AMAZING!”. But what exactly does that entail? See how this crazy and highly athletic weekend unfolded.

Friday, or preparations in full swing

Although the official part of the conference started on Saturday, we had to arrive a bit earlier to make it possible. So, Friday hours were spent laying out our vividly green carpet, black sofas, and most importantly – the reformers!

We prepared as many as 6 training stations on our flagship Allegro 2 reformers and Allegro Tower of Power, Rialto Reformer with Tower, and Trapeze Table.

In addition, our space featured 5 stations (which, as it turned out later, was completely insufficient, so we added another 5) with mats and the amazing Spinefitter from SISSEL, which… more on that in a moment.

By late evening, we had everything tied up neatly. The lights went out, and our team could take a little rest before tomorrow, which turned out to be a very crazy day.

Saturday – Attendance Greater Than Imagination

And the title of this paragraph is not exaggerated at all. We simply couldn’t keep up with answering questions and handling the cash register (poor Monika didn’t even have time to eat!). But what can you do to ensure everyone gets answers and leaves our booth with a package of information and a good mood 😊 And we had such lovely informational materials:

Saturday was also the day of “Group Training on Reformers” with an additional module “Spinefitter on the Reformer,” led by Anna Tytus – Master Trainer of Balanced Body. Training with Ania is pure pleasure and a wealth of knowledge because:

  • she trained under Kelly McKinnon in Brussels,
  • she opened a Pilates studio in the very center of Warsaw,
  • since childhood, all her activities have been related to movement,
  • she graduated in dance and movement pedagogy in Austria.

In addition to the reformers, the hearts of the participants were won over by the Spinefitter from SISSEL. Training using it, titled “More Effective Training with Spinefitter,” was led by another fantastic trainer – Katarzyna Kolada, who:

  • has been thriving as an instructor since 2014,
  • constantly acquires new knowledge and experience to ensure her training is filled with innovations and effectiveness,
  • is a respected physiotherapist and fitness trainer,
  • specializes in medical training, focusing on achieving the best results and safety (this is something she can teach you).

And here comes the time for another surprise – practically right after the opening of the fair, we had a full reservation of spots for all available classes! And there were as many as 14 training blocks spread over two days. The conclusion is clear – next time we need to bring even more equipment for you and negotiate even more space 🙂

Fortunately, this year we found a way to do that as well. We simply increased the number of participants in the training by adding additional sessions outside the schedule.

Did we mention that a LOT was happening on Saturday?

As if that wasn’t enough, exactly at 16:45, our well-known (and we hope, very much liked 😊) Waldemar Cieślak had his several minutes in the conference room – he led a lecture titled: “Pilates Studio – Your Own Business Step by Step.” There was a lot of laughter, but above all, a wealth of practical knowledge.

Ania Tytus made a guest appearance in the intriguingly titled section: “From Small to Large.” Ania answered a series of questions prepared earlier by Waldka, which – as you can easily guess – concerned the development of the studio and the transition from a small space to quite a large business.

Attendance was great, and the breadth of the topic slightly extended the lecture – however, a Pilates studio is still an unconventional business idea, and the secrets behind success in the industry are a topic that can be discussed for hours.

In the evening, it was time to quickly tidy up the booth and prepare it for another exciting day.

Sunday – a day of laziness? Not for us!

From early morning, we hosted many people interested in Pilates and reformers on our sofas and equipment. This will lead to many beautiful collaborations ❤️ Even though it was a bit quieter, we didn’t slow down.

On this day, “Group training on reformers” with the additional module “Spinefitter on the reformer” was led by Angelika Mirek – a licensed Master Instructor of Balanced Body. Training sessions with Angelika are full of passion and commitment because:

  • she promotes a holistic approach to the development of the human body,
  • she teaches how to focus attention on selecting the appropriate exercises for each individual,
  • she runs her own Move Studio in Krakow’s Podgórze.

On the mats, we could once again meet Katarzyna Kolada along with the Spinefitters, which have become an undeniable hit of this event. In short, it is an innovative and versatile training device recommended for back pain and limited mobility of intervertebral joints. Learn more about the Spinefitter by going to its website.
The biggest surprise of the day (also for us!) was the presence of Jens Friebel – the CEO of the SISSEL brand. We even convinced him to conduct additional classes with the Spinefitter. The interest was so great that we once again apologize to everyone who wanted to try the Spinefitter but couldn’t. Fortunately, you can do it at home by testing the Spinefitter without obligation for 3 weeks!

Was it worth it?

You simply have to be at such fairs! Fascinating conversations, interesting characters, a wealth of knowledge, the opportunity to test equipment, ideas for development – the benefits of participating in the conference are endless.

What pleases us the most is your interest and the fact that the fitness world appreciates Pilates, especially Pilates on reformers. We hope to meet again soon at an industry conference and, of course, in the new studios that you are opening with us. Thank you!
