Time Management for Solo Entrepreneurs in the Pilates Industry
Prowadzenie studia pilatesu jest zarówno satysfakcjonujące, jak i wymagające, zwłaszcza jeśli zajmujesz się wszystkim samodzielnie. Niedawno ukończyłam kurs “Time Management for Remote Workers” (Time Management for Remote Workers), prowadzony przez projektantkę edukacyjną Anne Parmeter. Chociaż kurs jest skierowany do osób pracujących zdalnie, wiele ze strategii Anne jest bardzo przydatnych w zarządzaniu studiem pilatesu.
Space, Matter, Time, and Energy
Anne proposes an assessment of four key areas:
Space
This is about creating an effective workspace where you can handle business tasks such as marketing and planning. It should be separate from the studio space. Try to make it an organized place, free from distractions and comfortable, conducive to focus.
Matter
This involves organizing and prioritizing tasks. Tools like Trello or Monday are very useful for this purpose, as they allow you to manage tasks much more efficiently than traditional sticky notes or notebooks. Trello makes it easy to add, prioritize, and track tasks, preventing chaos where everything seems urgent.
Time
Time is a limited resource, and how you manage it is crucial. Anne advises using a four-step approach to tasks: Do, Delegate, Defer, or Delete. Tasks that take less than two minutes should be done immediately. Those that require more time should be scheduled or delegated to someone else. Remove or ignore tasks that are not significant. The most important thing is to realize that you cannot do everything.
Energy
Managing your energy is very important, especially when you tend to say “yes” to every request because you like to help others. Anne emphasizes how essential it is to conserve energy and clarify focus. Plan your day so that you are always at your best, both for clients and for yourself. For example, if you are a person who functions better in the morning, evening sessions may not be ideal for you. Prioritizing self-care is essential for maintaining well-being.
Although running a Pilates studio on your own can be complicated, applying these time management principles can simplify your work and increase productivity. By organizing your workspace, using effective task management tools, making thoughtful decisions about time use, and protecting your energy, you can achieve greater balance and success in running your Pilates studio. Implement these strategies to better manage your responsibilities and enjoy the rewarding journey of running your own business.
