Kaleen Canevari
My name is Kaleen Canevari, and I combine two of my passions: mechanical engineering and Pilates. My Pilates journey began in 2014 when I worked as an engineer at Balanced Body. It was there that I discovered the incredible benefits of this movement method and decided to become a certified PMA Pilates instructor.
My engineering background and passion for precision led me to found The Fit Reformer. This company specializes in Pilates equipment maintenance, ensuring reformers and other equipment operate efficiently and safely.
Furthermore, in 2020, I founded an investor-backed startup called Flexia, which has brought a breath of fresh air to the Pilates world. I built this company from the ground up and guided it through the challenges of product development, fundraising, and scaling a technology-based fitness platform. This experience deepened my understanding of what it takes to create innovative technology solutions in the wellness industry. It also reinforced my belief in the power of combining movement with modern technology.
Currently, I divide my time between teaching Pilates at a local studio in Sacramento and traveling around the United States. I pursue a variety of Pilates-related projects, from training to equipment consulting. I’m thrilled to be able to combine my technical knowledge with my passion for movement, supporting both Pilates practitioners and instructors.
